Liv, tonight we were watching “Forrest Gump” on our TV. It’s the first movie we have ever watched together.

I think you liked it, but I’m not sure.

You probably won’t remember it. As soon as Forrest started playing ping-pong you fell asleep right on my chest. You’re just like your mother.

I don’t blame you. It is a long movie and you are only a week old.

That’s ok. I’ve seen it before and we’ll make a point to see it again later.

Once you started nodding off, I got to thinking. There are so many things I’ve experienced that I want you to know.

We are going to have fun learning about the 1980s and 1990s

I also thought there will be so many things that I never noticed or that don’t exist yet. Those are things you are going to show me about the 2020s and 2030s

I am going love learning some new things. But not everything is Forrest Gump so I can’t promise I will like all of it.
