Learning things

You’re observing your surroundings, and we noticed you have preferences.

You seem so smart. For someone very small you know how to get grown-ups to carry you. You also managed to have the dog not jump on you – that was impressive.

Maybe you’ll be a baby Einstein or maybe just smart – we don’t know. We are just trying to give you the best start possible.

Your grandmother even bought you a set of Montessori-style toys.

Right now you’re contrasting between light and dark shapes. Soon you will recognize mom and dad’s voices.

It won’t be long before you start reading books, learning piano, dancing ballet, playing tennis or golfing.

Later, because daddy already hates your future boyfriends, I’ll teach you how to measure a left-hand jab and throw a knockout right hook.
